Treasury official Wallace H Hills Found Dead in New Mexico
Wallace H Hills 55 a longtime Treasury Department employee and chief clerk to Secretary Shaw died unexpectedly in his Carrizozo hotel room while en route to Fort Stanton. U S Marshal Haynes led the investigation and a telegram to Washington announced the death. Hills had served 41 years in the Treasury and no cause or inquest details were released.

End of Life for 65 Year Old Texas Ranger Captain
Andrew Hampton Cox 65 died here on the 10th and was buried at city cemetery. He lived in Estancia and came for kidney treatment. Survived by wife Mrs. N H Cox and two children Mrs. N E Jump of Corona and Sidney Hampton Cox of Estancia. two grandchildren. Former Texas Ranger under Davis, captain of a squad. Married in Austin in 1872. Mason and Baptist. Lived in Llano and Edwards counties and served as commissioner in both. Rev. R P Pope, longtime friend, officiated funeral. Cox regarded as honorable by many old Texans.

Court adjourns in Lincoln with appeals and sentences
Judge Mann and Deputy Clerk Downs returned from Lincoln after court adjourned. Rosario Emillio faced one sentence of death for murder of Antonio Carrillo Demarbel but received an appeal. A one year penitentiary term and a suspended sentence were also handed down. Ten criminal cases were moved from Lincoln to Otero on change of venue and will be heard next September. On the fourth Monday in May the United States Court will convene here.

Revival begins as two sons join pastor in church history
Dr. F. E. Smiley closed the Union services at Baptist church Monday night and his meetings were very successful. The sacred concert at Park Sunday afternoon was largely attended and Dr. Smiley gave the crowd one of his typical sermons. Mr. Hanson's singing was enjoyed by all and the success he had with the large choir was something to be appreciated. On Wednesday night of this week Rev. Frank Singleton, pastor of the M. E. church south, commenced a revival for his church. He is being assisted by Rev. H. R. Singleton his brother, of St. Louis. It is also expected that Rev. Frank Singleton's father will assist in this revival. This will give the meeting a uniqueness not often found that of a father and two sons conducting a revival.
