Mrs May Elizabeth Hamilton 51 wife of W H Hamilton section foreman at Orogrande was killed when she lay on the rails as a Southern Pacific train approached at Orogrande station an inquest returned a verdict of death by own action Funeral services were held in Alamogordo and interment was in Mount Vista Cemetery She is survived by five children two in Alamogordo one in Douglas Ariz a sister in California a brother in Missouri and earlier residence in Otero County

Alamogordo Paving Bonds Sold. Paving to Start Soon
Final negotiations for Alamogordo paving bonds were completed by Town Treasurer R A French and the Board of Trustees passed the final ordinance to move the project forward. WPA paving work on New York Michigan Indiana and Ohio avenues and 11th to 15th Streets will begin within two weeks with bonds over 45000 dollars issued to cover material costs and retired by assessments. Thirty five thousand dollars of bonds were sold to O W Benwell and the Geo W Vallery Co of Denver.
