Farmers' Holiday Association Organizing Referendum Campaign

La Luz Pottery Plant Reopens With Expanded Output
La Luz Clay Products Co plans months of production at La Luz Canyon under superintendent Tom Walker. About fifteen workers will be permanent for summer runs producing flow and roof tile and pottery. Garcia Sentenced in Probation Violation Case
Jose Garcia received a suspended sentence of three to four years in the state penitentiary after an informal hearing before Judge Numa Frenger. He had been arrested in March for drinking and drawing a pistol, and stolen property belonging to Jim Reich and Estelle Smith was found under a floor at his home. He was ordered turned over to Lincoln County sheriff to begin serving the sentence.

Vacation Bible School Planned by M B E Pastor
The Methodist church pastor announces a daily vacation Bible school from May 22 for two weeks five days each. Literacy materials are ordered and leaders are being chosen. It is open to all ages up to seniors with no pupil cost and runs 9 to 11 each morning featuring devotionals, theme study, crafts, and play plus a school picnic. Burglars Hit Howard's Cafe Sunday Night
A burglar gang broke into Howard's Cafe through a high south wall window last Sunday night and stole cigarettes and about five to six dollars in change.
