El Paso hosts next year as officers E B Elfers Voyed Howard Nelly Odell elected and Dr. Coe Kibbe delivered the closing Spirit of Fraternalism address.

The United States Defense Savings Bonds and Postal Savings Stamps go on sale in post offices at opening time on Thursday May 1 as part of a national effort. Postmaster Frances I Burch says plans are nearly complete for this community and thousands of others to participate. Bonds mature in ten years at 25 for 18 75 purchase priced at 75 of maturity value and redeemable after sixty days with a cap of 5000 per person per year. Large investors may buy up to 50000 annually with Treasury provisions ongoing.

Death of Albert Lee Austin in Alamogordo
Albert Lee Austin died at his home in Alamogordo on Friday April 25 1941 after eight years of ill health. Funeral services were held at Geren Leadinghaus mortuary with Rev. Franklin R. Poage officiating. Interment followed at Mount Vista cemetery. He was born August 24 1876 in Scotts Hill Tennessee and married Dora Culp September 14 1909. The family moved to New Mexico in 1921, later residing in Alamogordo for 19 years. Surviving are his widow four sons Paul of Silver City Joe of Safford Arizona Robert and James of Alamogordo two daughters Mrs A A Visconti of Phoenix and Mrs Charles White of Bonita Arizona and two grandsons Ronald Visconti and Daniel White.

Death Of E. H. Posey In Tularosa On 66th Anniversary
Ed H Posey 46 a pioneer resident of Otero County died at his son Jack Posey’s Tularosa home after a two week illness. He would have reached his 66th wedding anniversary with wife Mrs Posey who died February 17 1939. Funeral held at the Jack Posey home and he was laid beside his wife. Christadelphian minister Walker conducted the service. Posey family natives of Texas moved to New Mexico via Oklahoma and settled in the Sacramento Mountains in 1878 raising 12 children.
