Death of Mrs J W Foster in eastern town
The death occurred last Friday at her home after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at the residence led by Rev C O Davis of the Methodist church. Born in Missouri in 1865 she moved to New Mexico in 1912. She leaves her husband a son Leo Rogers and grandchildren. She was known for a charitable heart and large circle of friends.

Odd Fellows District Meeting Elects Vaughn For 1925 Session
The White Mountain I O O F Association met at the Odd Fellows hall with delegates from Vaughn Tularosa Carrizozo and Alamogordo. Vaughn chosen for the 1925 session. Dr Miller mayor of Vaughn named president and Mrs King secretary treasurer for the year. Rebekah degrees conferred by Carrizozo and Vaughn crews followed by initiatory degree. Visitors toured the New Mexico Institute for the Blind and other sites.

Another Nash car caught with booze near Tularosa
May 18 report says Paul Doran of Las Vegas was stopped at Tularosa with a car loaded with 13 cases of whiskey and other liquors. He bonded in Albuquerque to face Santa Fe charges, while another man named Schuster was jailed after liquor was found in a second car piloted by Doran.

Death of Geo B Bent Shook 10 Community
The community mourns George B Bent of Alamogordo and Bent New Mexico who died in Springer after a skull fracture from a speeding automobile. Deputy state engineer Claire Fetzer reported the accident and Bent's wife Mrs Bent traveled to Springer. He had worked on road contracts and an oil venture in Pecos valley and his burial is expected in Colorado.
