Pvt First Class Godfrey V Sanchez 25 of Alamogordo New Mexico rests at the Biltmore Hotel Redistribution Station Santa Barbara awaiting reassignment after 30 months overseas. He served in the communications section of a field artillery unit in the Southwest Pacific and wears the Purple Heart for wounds in action. He entered service October 17 1941.

Passing Of Mrs W H Kimmons Saturday
Lavonia Gray Holland Kimmons came to Alamogordo New Mexico in 1903 and died after a long illness March 4 at her home. Funeral services were held at Alamogordo First Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Lawson officiating and local pallbearers named. She was born September 3 1861 in Missouri and married W H Kimmons September 9 1884 in Texas. Surviving are her husband 14 children 33 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Death of Ray Robinson Former Alamogordo Resident
Ray Robinson formerly of Alamogordo died suddenly of a heart attack near Los Angeles last Saturday after moving to California to farm. He was the son of Mr and Mrs L N Robinson of Bent and brother of Jim Robinson of Alamogordo. He worked for Prestridge Lumber Co in Alamogordo for years before leaving. He is survived by his widow and twin sons Vernon and Beryl, both in the service. Vernon is in the Philippines.
