Passing of Walter W Loggains
Walter Loggains aged 47 died at Silver City after months of rheumatism and complications. Services were held at Grace Methodist Church with Elks Club involvement. interment in Mount Vista cemetery. Survived by widow, brother C F Loggains of Alamogordo, and two sisters in Silver City. He served in World War I, later ran a drug store in Silver City, and was active in civic life and fraternal orders.

Three Valencia Lumber camp workers Archie Lee James F Carson and George Darold faced assault with a deadly weapon charges in Ruidoso justice court after a Saturday night brawl at Turner's Tavern. All three posted $1000 bonds and denied knowledge Wade the constable was an officer before being struck.

El Paso Texas March 22 Cecilio Gomez who freighted by wagon through Indian infested Texas territory three quarters of a century ago died Wednesday at the El Paso county farm at age 105 He carried freight for J M Gonzalez between El Paso and Las Vegas New Mexico on Cimarron trailhead and El Paso to San Antonio Texas and Chihuahua Mexico He was born at Ysleta and was the oldest living native of the community.

Vocal Students Win High Ratings at Competition

He attended the local high school post graduate course and later moved to Barstow. Funeral services for Miss Leona Shelton were held at her family home after a several months illness. Rev. Ed LeBreton led a brief service ending at the grave. Survivors include her mother Mrs. M. E.
