Fruit blossoms endure cold snap with limited protection
Saturday night lows reached about 16 degrees in Alamo Gordo while the highlands La Luz and Tularosa saw warmer temps. Most fruit not yet out but later blooms may escape heavy freezes. Death of Sam Nimmo in Cloudcroft shocks Alamogordo
