Bids for U S 54 in Otero County will be opened March 28 as part of the New Mexico State Highway Commission plan. Road Mishap Fatal To One Monday
John C. Jennings aged 50 of Lansins Michigan died in a highway crash about ten miles west of the White Sands on Highway 70 Monday afternoon. His wife Mrs Jennings was injured, receiving shock. The body was sent to Lans ing Michigan, with Mrs Jennings and son State Patrolman R L Scroquins reporting the accident. Sheriff Ray Prather and Deputy F C Stover investigated at the scene.
