A party of 16 Missouri capitalists merchants and business men arrived by special train at noon and proceeded to the great mining district. Led by R G Mullen of South West Smelting and Refining Co the group included J B Hyde J J Goodrich and many others from St Joseph Kansas City Richmond Maitland and Jarilla with A J King and W A Hawkins guiding the voyage.
