Probate Judge Rosalio Baldonado announced during a stop in Otero county that he is a candidate for re election to the probate court subject to the Democratic party. Baldonado, born and raised locally, is Alamogordo High School an alumnus and a former service member.
The listing features Friday and Saturday showings of Zane Grey’s Riders of the Purple Sage with George O’Brien Marguerite Churchill and Noah Beery plus a Sunday Monday run of The Beloved Bachelor. James D. Bunting a pioneer merchant of the Weed section in Otero county died Saturday March 5 at an El Paso hospital after a cancer diagnosis. He had lived in Roswell in recent years and retired from business. Survived by five sons J E Bunting of El Paso C G Ernest H D and W B Bunting all of Hope New Mexico. Burial held in El Paso at Wolfinger's.
W M Ginn of New Mexico Agricultural College predicts a favorable poultry and egg outlook due to large feed supplies and recent price trends. He notes fewer hens in 1932, small storage egg supplies, and uncertain business conditions. Success hinges on better stock, improved production methods, and prudent chick purchases this spring.
Alonzo J Buck died in Yuma Arizona on February 20. A Mason he received a Maysonic funeral. Survived by son Will near San Diego California daughter May of Southern California Lonnie Buck of Tularosa and widow. Buck lived in Alamogordo area for over twenty years contributing to town life and road building. He pioneered local photography and ran a livery and undertaker business before moving to San Simon Arizona.
