E Hollied of 310 E Central Avenue Albuquerque New Mexico plans to open a wholesale and retail greenhouse in Alamogordo indicating expansion in the regional horticulture trade.
A special Alamogordo Chamber meeting led by Secretary Yelton discussed a plan to broadcast promotional radio ads for Alamogordo in cooperation with Roswell Las Cruces Artesia Ruidoso Cloudcroft and White Sands. Kyler argued joint promotion would ease rivalries and attract thousands of tourists.
Alamento management announces the June schedule featuring "Under Tonto Rim" with Stuart Erwin and Raymond Hatton, "Kiss Before the Mirror" with Nancy Carroll and Paul Lukas, "State Fair" starring Will Rogers and Janet Gaynor, and other titles including "Hold Me Tight" and "Bed Time Story" with Maurice Chevalier. The lineup runs from the 9th through the 31st with actor pairs and Zane Grey adaptation for "Robbers' Roost."
Albuquerque authorities face a ruling on the 3.2 beer issue after Dist. Judge Helmick freed E. E. Hamm of Albuquerque who sold 3.2 beer declaring it non intoxicating. The decision challenges the dry law's reach and could allow legal 3.2 beer pending Supreme Court guidance.

About 120 men have been handed to the Forest Service by military authorities for CCC duty along the Sacramento River. Five crews are at road and trail construction, erosion control, line work, and forest culture. Up to 200 men expected, possibly by week end, from Fort Bliss. Command under three officers Lieut Wally Ford, Lieut Bailey, Lieut Jeffrees with four NCOs including three sergeants and two corporals.
Local forest officials have not set a date for a possible Lincoln Forest camp or chosen site. The options include the Raton ranch in the Capitan Mountains or Bear Springs southwest of Weed, while Texas interest adds confusion despite no national forests or federal lands there.

Manuel Martinez received 10 days in jail for drunk and disorderly conduct at the bail game. Francisco Velarde alias Frank Porras is jailed after pleading guilty to stealing an automobile trailer belonging to Bill McCommis. trailer recovered February 13 though he had left town. Frank Duran and Manuel Quinonez were fined 10.50 including costs for drunken disorderly conduct after attempting to enter La Luz Lodge through a window Tuesday night. Burglary at Hazard Antojos ranch house in La Luz Canyon reported. robbers forced entry and took bedding and furniture. no trace of stolen goods or suspects.

Dr L B Knecht 39 shot his wife 34 in Mescalero last Sunday night and then killed himself. A 11 year old daughter awoke, called for help, and a jury ruled the couple's deaths final. Knecht, a WWI veteran and Mescalero agency agent, had shown despondency. funeral services were held Tuesday and burial followed in Bellevue, NL.
An official opinion says no delinquent tax sale will be held in Eddy and Chaves counties this year due to funds for mailing registered notices being unavailable. The ruling to Harold Ie Crosby Chaves county treasurer states notices were not mailed posted or published as required and cannot be lawfully conducted without 21 day posting.
