Irvin Scott aged 18 shot himself with a .38 pistol on a road above the Mescalero Indian Agency. An inquest was held by Justice D. M. Barringer. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Penn Scott and two brothers Wingfield and Fred. Funeral services were held at the Agency with Rev. Justice of Tularosa presiding.

Offenders Arrested South of Alamo for Still Operation
W. C. Caswell known as Booger Red and Grizzly Red faced arraignment before U S Commissioner Tom Charles Monday on charges of operating a still and possessing intoxicating liquor. Prohibition Investigator Pat Read and Deputy Norris Green made the raid at Caswell’s home about 15 miles south of here, uncovering 100 gallons of mash and a small amount of whiskey.

Air-Conditioned Dining Cars to Aid Hot Weather on S P RY Lines
San Francisco July 10 The S P Company announces air conditioned dining cars on the Overland Golden State and Sunset Limited trains along with pre cooling of sleeping cars before departure. Automatic thermostat controls flood dining cars with prepared air at regulated temperature and humidity, cooling interior despite outside heat. Sleeping cars are pre cooled at terminals by a portable device that sprays ice water and passes air through cooling coils.
