Social Committee Receives Unanimous Endorsement
The Business Men's Club monthly meeting endorsed the Social committee for its one month of work. It funded two receptions and a smoker for visitors and judges costs totaling 40 dollars and aided the Fourth of July committee with 30 dollars. The committee held three successful fundraisers and left about 50 dollars in the treasury. Funds will stay separate but may be borrowed in emergencies. The committee listed Henry S. Evans as president and others. The Fourth of July committee reported 502 dollars in subscriptions and 582 dollars in disbursements, with a 39 dollar deficit covered by the Social committee. An advertising committee was appointed to promote the region as a health resort. Secretary La Salle reported the club's finances improving from a depleted treasury to a 140 dollar balance. Elections for officers will occur at the next meeting.
