Funeral Services for Lt M M Gendron Held in Madera
Funeral services for Lieutenant Morris J. Gendron were held at Jay's Mortuary in Madera California with Catholic and military rites. Six first lieutenants from Hammer Field served as pallbearers and American Legionnaires conducted a cemetery service. Planes flew overhead during the rites as shop floral offerings poured in and interment followed at Madera cemetery. Gendron was killed in an airplane crash at Liberal Kansas Air Field on the night of December 30.

Death of Walter F Richardson in Alamogordo
Walter F Richardson, 53, a mechanic at the Alamogordo Air Base, died of pneumonia on Thursday January 6. The body was prepared at G and L Mortuary and sent to Lovington for interment in Tatum, his home. Born in San Saba Texas, four sisters traveled to Alamogordo after news of his death.
