The Otero County Poultry Show will run Monday to Wednesday January 12 13 14 at the Alamogordo Pavilion. Educative exhibits include eggs and poultry handling with judging by A L Walker of New Mexico College of Agriculture. Entry fees 25 cents per bird and one dollar per pen, with cash premiums and ribbons.

Fatal shooting below Orogrande by Prohibition officer
Prohibition Officer Howard Beacham, based in Alamogordo, shot a rum runner three miles below Orogrande after the driver Pryor refused to show both hands. The wounded man, later identified as Dobbins Orr of Chase Kansas, died en route to Alamogordo. Pryor was arrested near Newman and charged with possession and transportation of alcohol.

Plans Set for Hannett Inauguration as Governor
