Explosion at Alamo Club Injures Five in Hotel Block
At about 3 15 a m Sunday an explosion on the roof over the Alamo Club in the Arnold building rocked the town. Bib Lee suffered a fractured skull and states of grave concern were reported. Candler Massey is suspected of triggering the blast amid a card game dispute. Witnesses described a bottle of liquor and heated arguments before the blast. The rear upstairs section was wrecked and damage is estimated at 1500 dollars.

Delwin Hickson Taken by Death Last Friday
Delwin Hickson 24 known as Delwin died last Friday from infantile paralysis at Dr KE M Jones clinic on 100 street. He had been ill about a week after leaving Corona where he worked on SP signal crew. Funeral services were held Sunday in Sixteen Springs canyon cemetery near Cloudcroft where he was born. The community extends sympathy to his parents Mr and Mrs P W Hickson sister Mrs M C Thomson and brother Earl.

Thomas and Roland Merrill, teenagers, were arrested after stealing tires rims gas oil tools and an overcoat from a Pierce Arrow roadster parked between Cloudcroft and High Rolls.
