Shull Services Set For Friday
Funeral services for Charles W. Shull will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in MullinsHamilton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. K E Dickenson officiating. Burial will be in Monte Vista Cemetery. Shull, 65, died Wednesday in Gerald Champion Memorial Hospital after a week with a heart condition. He owned a Mayhill sawmill and lived in Cloudcroft with his wife. He was born in Corinti Mississippi on March 18 1888 and moved to New Mexico 23 years ago. He is survived by his wife and four sisters Mrs J O Bannon and Mrs Mac Taylor of Longview Texas Mrs Mack Taylor Shreveport Louisiana and Mrs Fannie Carro Joaquin Texas. His wife has kept vigil at his bedside at Alamo Courts. His parents a brother and several sisters are with her.

Former Sheriff John Snyder Dies in Fort Worth Texas
Former Otero County Sheriff John Snyder died December 7 at Methodist Hospital Fort Worth Texas at age 71. He served two terms around 1919 and once ran a ranch at Ancho. Funeral services were held in Fort Worth Tuesday. He is survived by wife May two daughters Mrs W L Sibly Abilene and Mrs Baron McCullough Fort Worth and two granddaughters.

Lions House to House Broom Campaign Nets 1400
Aubrey Dunn of the Alamogordo Lions Club said the house to house broom campaign raised nearly 1400 dollars over Friday and Saturday. The drive aimed to aid the blind and included sale of brooms mats brushes and related items with a target of 2000 dollars gross before completion. The club plans to make the campaign a semi annual event and reported progress from the Wherry Housing area at the Base.

Airman Hurt As Live Wire Strikes Vehicle at Holloman
Airman Third Class Richard W. Yearley was injured when he touched a high voltage line while on a balloon launching vehicle at Holloman Air Force Base.
