Pipeline Job To Begin This Week
D. M. Spafford of Farmington, pipeline contractor and successful bidder on the La Luz Canyon pipeline, began moving equipment and aims to install the pipeline, minus structures, by January 1. He will clear the right of way this week in preparation for trenching. Spafford is connected with the Fulton Company which laid the water line to Holloman AFB in 1943.

The Cowart Construction Company of Lordsburg submitted the low bid of about $70,000 for oil surfacing nearly six miles of Forest Highway 83 west from Mountain Park. PRA Denver said the bid should go to the Washington office for approval. Funds come from U S Forest road money allotted to New Mexico.

Commissioners Seek Dozer-Loader for One Man Road Crew
Otero County board of commissioners called for proposals to furnish a Dozer-Loader to assist a 2 ton Chevrolet truck in road repair.
