Miss Nell Drake Hosts Class Nine for Progressive Travel

Last Tuesday night Miss Nell Drake entertained Methodist Sunday School Class No. 9 at Mr. E. H. Cox’s home. Guests played Progressive Travel with Ralph Warnock winning a suitcase. Delicous refreshments, music by Misses Murphy Woods and Deeks, and gracious thanks marked the pleasant evening.

Alamogordo Plans Christmas Celebration for Town Children

Local business leaders and Mr Murray organize a Christmas for all in Alamogordo. A large tree at the Court House will be lit with candy fruit nuts and stockings. Santa Claus will attend and all town children are invited to enjoy the celebration, with Sunday School members likely provided for.

Recitation and Declamation Winners for Alamordo Contest

Those neither tardy nor absent for the month ending Nov 6 were Annabelle Sebring Georg Moffett Maurice Leech Edward Culver and Jack Sebring. The new clock has been put up. Preliminary Contest was held last Wednesday. The first in Recitation was Annabelle Sebring Maurice Leech won in Declamation. The yellow and blue will be represented at Alamordo contest.

New Mexico National Guard Dances Support Armory Fund

Company L of the New Mexico National Guard plans another Saturday night dance to raise funds for arming and fitting the span armory. Officials say the dances provide amusement for youth and the outcome has not yet become profitable, urging better patronage.

Alcazar Movie House Sold to Melton Phillips

Lee Jones has sold the Alcazar moving picture show to Melton Phillips of this city. Phillips is well and favorably known and is expected to make a success of the show business. The Alcazar has been offering patrons a splendid bill this week with tonight and tomorrow night presenting unusually good pictures and songs.

Christ Church Concert Tonight Features Pollock and Ni cholas

Blizzard conditions linger as Alamogordo endures a rare temperature swing. Friday night near 50 degrees gave way to Saturday night plummeting to 16 with Sunday night rebounding to 50, marking one of the coldest spikes in the area.
