Mystery Plane Cracked Up South of Alamogordo
Two strangers from Minneapolis landed a biplane about 40 miles south of Alamogordo on Thanksgiving after engine trouble. The aircraft wrecked in sand but the pilot and passenger survived. the men were met in Orogrande after alerting El Paso papers. The event follows another forced landing near Maria in recent weeks.

Death of mill worker under cloud of poisoning suspicion
W. M. Wright a 53 year old Southwest Lbr Co mill worker died in a convulsion at his home after becoming intoxicated on bootleg liquor. Although many believe he took strychnine, no post mortem was held and the insurance company may demand a stomach examination. Wright bought a sealed bottle of strychnine for rat poison the night he died. the bottle was partly used and the rest unknown. He died after midnight while a doctor was summoned. Burial was in the local cemetery Tuesday. He is survived by a widow and several children. The family had moved from Oklahoma two years ago and Wright was born in Vanburien Arkansas.

Mrs. Bransford Dies in El Paso and Rites Held
Mrs. Jeff Bransford died at her home in El Paso on Sunday morning November 30 at 5 o clock after a long illness following surgery. She leaves her husband and five children and six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were conducted at the Spanish Mexican church in Alamogordo with burial Tuesday. Born at La Luz she lived much of her life in the area and moved to El Paso around 1906.

Alamogordo Girl Ends Life After Mastoid Surgery
Mary Pearl Williams a 17 year old of Alamogordo took two vials of carbolic acid Sunday afternoon around 3 at her mother’s Florida avenue home. She died at 6 after being found unconscious by her mother and a doctor arrived. The note she left cited fatigue with life and a wish to “go to Daddy” and recent mastoid surgery fears. Funeral held at Geren Leadinghouse chapel with many peers attending.
