N M Game Division to Build Hatchery
Santa Fe announces the New Mexico Game Division will allocate 6000 dollars to construct a warm water fish hatchery in the lower Pecos Valley. Site selection is pending. The commission previously set aside 5000 dollars for a hatchery in the southeast district but delayed action over a federal hatchery bill that Congress passed but Coolidge did not sign. The division also identified two game refuges in San Juan and Quay counties, four quail refuges at Ft Sumner and in Quay and Lincoln counties, and a waterfowl refuge in Bernalillo County.
