Death of Two Health Seekers Reported This Week
Deaths of Edward Olivier aged 39 at his Franklin La residence and David Coleman Fortner on New York Avenue, both from tuberculosis. Olivier leaves a wife and four children. Fortner, two years old, died after months in Alamogordo as his mother and siblings traveled to Calvin, Oklahoma, with the body.

Highway official ropes wild eagle near Clovis
G H Quattlebaum of the State Highway Department recalls roping a wild eagle west of Clovis about 12 miles. The bird carried a rabbit in one talon and appeared stuck in the other. He used a coil of rope from his car, captured the eagle, and displayed it in Alamogordo in front of Miles Williams' residence on Ohio avenue.
