E C Pfingston, Trail Moreman on White Mountain Patos District, died after a rock slide while radiosing a small forest fire inside the Indian Reservation. Death of Albert Abington in Alamogordo
Albert Abington died at his parents home in Alamogordo on Tuesday August 26 after a long tuberculosis illness. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Wednesday at 4:30 led by Rev W C Taggart with interment in the local cemetery. He was about 26, born in Louisiana, who moved to Alamogordo for relief from TB and remained two years then returned last year before declining. He was active in the Baptist church and among the youth and is survived by his parents one brother and six sisters two of whom were away at his death.

E. C. Stevens of the White Plymouth Rock ranch in Alamogordo is building a hatchery with 3200 egg capacity. Starting in January, 3200 baby chicks will be available every three weeks. The hatchery aims to supply local poultry fanciers and reduce reliance on distant shipments, with eggs fed into the hatchery during February and March when prices are lowest. E. T. Baird and his son Oren Baird and wife visited from James Canyon Monday. Senior Baird suffered two fractured fingers and severe bruises after a wagon wheel came off between here and Tularosa. He was jolted under the horses and rendered unconscious, with several bones broken in one hand. He received care in Alamogordo and is recovering. Baird serves on the executive board of the New Mexico Cattle and Horse Growers Association.
