Fatal Accident Claims Gerald Ray Darnold 15
Gerald Ray Darnold fifteen, son of Mr and Mrs W A Darnold of Prestridge Lumber Co, was struck by a car driven by Otis Valley of Alamogordo. The accident occurred when the car left Wth Street onto Alaska Ave where several boys stood in the roadway. He died Sunday afteroon from internal injuries. Funeral services were held, and the body sent to Albuquerque for internment. The family had lived in Alamogordo three months after moving from Albuquerque. Surviving are his parents a brother Virgil EM in the Navy and two sisters June and Florence.
