Mrs Louise Warnock Allen, native of Alamogordo and former resident, died at the James Allen home in Clifton Arizona. She leaves her husband and two sons, Jimmy and Petie. The couple longtime Alamogordo residents, Mr Allen was a police officer and deputy sheriff in earlier years.

State Treasurer to Buy Alamogordo School Bonds
The state treasurer will purchase 125000 dollars in bonds for School District No. 1 Alamogordo after a July 16 bond election. The bonds carry 1.5 percent interest and mature in 15 years, funding new classrooms and ongoing Central School expansion begun in 1940-41. The district’s current bonded debt stands at 23000 dollars plus interest, expected to be paid within two years, a low level for many years.
