Universal esteem marks life of Sidney Parker

Sidney Marshall Parker aged 53 died Sunday morning at High Rolls after a long illness. His funeral was held at the Parker home on New York avenue with the Knights of Pythias in charge and Rev. E. A. Armstrong officiating. A native of New Hampshire, Parker was a pioneer of New Mexico and longtime U S commissioner, moving from White Oaks to Alamogordo six years ago. He leaves Mrs. Carrie Warner Parker and son Marshal Parker. He fought tuberculosis for decades with a sunny disposition and was regarded as a universal friend.
