Shoney Marshall Parker of New Mexico died Sunday morning after living in the state for nearly thirty years. The long time resident was remembered for her community involvement and enduring presence in local life.
Sidney Marshall Parker aged 53 died Sunday morning at High Rolls after a long illness. His funeral was held at the Parker home on New York avenue with the Knights of Pythias in charge and Rev. E. A. Armstrong officiating. A native of New Hampshire, Parker was a pioneer of New Mexico and longtime U S commissioner, moving from White Oaks to Alamogordo six years ago. He leaves Mrs. Carrie Warner Parker and son Marshal Parker. He fought tuberculosis for decades with a sunny disposition and was regarded as a universal friend.
Theos O Reilly announces a dance at the Beavers Hall Saturday evening with Louis Hills orchestra providing music. The floor is being overhauled with worn boards replaced and a floor-planer to be used, promising a smooth surface by Saturday morning.
