Cloudcroft Call Meeting Appoints Program Committee

The Alamogordo El Paso line went into service last night with a satisfactory conversation between the two cities. El Paso now connects with Alamogordo and Cloudcroft, while Cloudcroft remains reachable only via Alamogordo.

Man Run Over by Train While Attempting Ride

Friday night last week an unknown man tried to steal a ride on No. 4 as it pulled from the station. He clung to the undercarriage and was fatally crushed. his name was not learned. A.J. Buck oversaw burial of the remains at the local site.

Bill Quigley an E P N brakeman was killed Wednesday afternoon about four miles from Santa Rosa when he was crushed by two watercars. His run was from El Paso to Santa Rosa.

Baptist pastors visit Alamogordo after Santa Rosalia trip

Rev. C. R. Taylor and J. D. Bennett of Alamogordo New Mexico stopped en route home from Santa Rosalia last Saturday to see Rev. J. W. Newbrough. Taylor preached at the Baptist Mission last Sunday and the pair returned to Alamogordo on Wednesday.

C D Warnock remains in town to push Fort Stanton preparations and has brought about twenty workers, including Chas White H P Cook and Wm Edwards. McCracken to Visit New York for Fall and Winter Stock

M. P. McCracken a window dresser and special salesman of the R. H. Pierce company will depart for New York next Monday night to buy fall and winter goods for the firm. He plans to be away about five weeks. Mrs. H. F. Ackley and daughter Emma returned from Fort Stanton where they stayed with O. D. Warnock’s family and enjoyed camping. J. J. Hill Jr. of Peoples Bros. left for San Antonio Polly and other Texas points, intending to be away about two months visiting relatives.
