Ray A. Smith publishes a weekly Akron Town newspaper with a subscription rate of four years for two dollars six months for one dollar and three months for six hundred. The paper is issued every Thursday and is entered at the post office as second class mail matter dated September 26, 1901.

Chevrolet raises 1938 car prices across nine thousand showrooms

Chevrolet publicized its new 1938 passenger car prices last Friday as new models hit 9,600 dealer showrooms nationwide. Price increases range from 3.4 percent to 5 percent, about $26 to $34 per model, with the Master DeLuxe sedan up $26 from $770 to $796. Most models rise under $30, seven by less than $30 and five by $30 to $34, including the Master Sport Sedan, and the new prices include the A. E. E. accessories such as bumpers and spare tire.
