Ray A. Smith publisher announces subscription rates for one year two dollars six months one dollar and three months fifty cents. Paper published each Thursday and entered at the Akron post office as second class matter on September twenty sixth, 1901.
Special Correspondent reports a busy period in Milnerville with Miss Jeanette Beauchene at Stone Park for a treasure hunt and plans for a Halloween party with Miss Marian Banks. Coverage includes social visits, home meetings, school events, farm news, a serious tractor accident, and upcoming community gatherings with many named locals and organizations.
Alfred Fry and daughter Ursula drove to Sioux City Sunday to attend church at St Thomas. Mr and Mrs Orrel Banks were church attendants in Sioux City Sunday.
Westfield society reports visiting relatives from Wisconsin and Nebraska, a guild gathering, thrift sale announcements, and club activities at Riverkioux Park. Local engagements include weddings and weekend visits, with several residents traveling to Sioux City, Marshalltown, and Omaha for work or family events.

Voegels of Beresford dined with the Ban family. Nelsons visited Harvey Welch. Avis Heasley and Gene Hilton wedding announcement reaches Garland.
In Sunnyside Washington the Ronsiek families will make their home. Mr and Mrs August Ronsiek and Mr and Mrs Henry Ronsiek and their children were dinner guests Sunday at the Henry Busch home. Mrs Oscar Sand of Michigan is visiting sister-in-law Mrs Alfred Swanson and brother-in-law John Sand near Spink South Dakota.
The National Safety Council notes cars from 1925 to 1928 account for 24.79 percent of vehicles yet cause under 12 percent of accidents. In contrast, 1935 models, though only 15 percent in service, appear in nearly 24 percent of accidents. The apparent anomaly arises from driver behavior and exposure differences.
