Mrs Victor Brundeen hosted a company of ladies at her home on Wednesday afternoon with a bridge game ending in a savory menu. Guests included Mrs Wm Anderson of Akron and Miss Anne Richardson of Hackensack NJ. Mr and Mrs Edward Beaubien of Sioux City celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary next Monday October 18.
Services Sunday morning at 11 oclock and Sunday school at 10 am. Ladies Aid Thursday afternoon at Luther Hall hosted by Mrs Green and Mrs Seeley. Junior Mission Band annual program and sale Friday October 15 with candy booth and fish pond. Visitors welcomed to support the society. Mr and Mrs Herman Jacobs and family guest at Mr and Mrs Milton Ericson's. Mrs ER Carlson ill but improving. League members and friends attended program at Dalesburg church. Mr and Mrs B A Hultgren and Mrs Jay Sykes called at Wm Ericson home. Mrs Mary Larson ill but improving. Rev and Mrs M W Gustafson and Mrs Oleson visiting La Porte Indiana aiding in the 80th settlers. Oat Meal tale anecdote and flour ad follows with prices and products from Fort Dodge Iowa milling.

The new county road south of Brunsville linking the Mallette corner to Westfield began as a federal project. Plymouth county contributed mainly by buying extra right of way for widening. Days ago the state highway commission sent the supervisors a bill for 20,000 dollars as its share of the cost.
Supervisors Twopood Miller and Altman and County Engineer Starr traveled to Armies Friday to learn why the bill totaling 420000 was issued. The federal project, initially planned for two miles, was extended to four miles to connect with an improved highway, per LeMars Sentinel patronizing.
