Mr and Mrs Will Buryanek of Vermillion MD visited Thursday at the Thos Clarey home. About forty friends and neighbors of Mr and Mrs Chas Johnson gave them a surprise Saturday evening in honor of their silver wedding anniversary, they having been married in Sioux City twenty five years ago. The evening was spent at cards and a fine.
The L. F. Taylor home hosted a pleasant surprise for Mrs. Taylor on Thursday night with a fine time and the usual good eats provided.
Mrs. Fred Adams Sr died at her home five miles southwest of Chatsworth on Tuesday morning November 28 1932 following illness with little trouble. She and husband lived on Friday farm for years before moving to a farm in South Dakota. Survived by eight children five sons and three daughters Ray James Claude Fred Jr Arthur Mrs Evan Harris Mrs Will Brest and Mrs Myrtle McCorkell. Funeral arrangements incomplete. Also news of visitors at local homes and a return from an earlier trip.
Residents report a quiet week with visits among locals including Joe Westover and wife and Will Specht and Mabel Webb at Mike Russell’s home near Binnsville. About twenty five teams and forty men harvested corn for Waal. a program at Jones school drew a large crowd Friday night. Mrs Warren Grege and W K McLeod visited Mrs Orin Harris on Friday.
The next meeting of the Home Hygiene class will be on Thursday December 7 at 1 30 in City Hall. The lesson covers chapters 13 and 14. Members are urged to be present. We specialize in high grade job printing at the Register Tribune office.
