Tragic death of Earl Dodd at Waldo Lake
Wm Bly received Eugene Daily Guard dated Oct 26 1908 with details of Earl Dodd 20 son of Mr and Mrs W H Dodd of Sioux Valley Union County SD who died during an irrigation project near Waldo Lake Oregon after perishing in snow. He left camp to hunt, was lost, and found two miles away in three feet of snow from exposure and exhaustion. Earl was a Eugene High School student active in student groups and grandson of Captain C Z Dodd. Friends in Akron express sympathy. Also notice of sale of real estate in Union County SD under Thomas Robinson estate with sale by executor at private cash sale subject to court confirmation.
