Union Creek Ladies Aid schedules its annual sale for December 2 with further details to follow. Big Springs youths socialized at Eddie Anderson’s home last Friday. Mrs. Bertha Hauser attended Levi Nilson during illness and was called to Parker, S. D., by a relative’s death. Nilson now recovering and expected back at work soon. Tower Telephone repairs improved lines in the area after a crew worked last week. Dinner guests at Mrs. H. Gans’s home.

The Ladies' Aid met at Mrs M F Spaulding to arrange a Christmas sale set for December 4 at Community Hall with a cafeteria lunch. Several local residents attended events including K of C initiation, visits from Trinity College student Stanislaus Tracy, and outings by the Lillys and Schulzs to Rock Rapids and nearby towns.
Concert Gala at High School Auditorium Attended by Schumann Heink Guests
The concert in the high school auditorium featured guests of KM and C2 Mohr, with attendance noted despite stormy weather. The Congregational church held no evening service Sunday. The Tuesday club enjoyed a gathering at Spaulding Sr home hosted by Miss Anna Fell. despite unpleasant conditions, several attendees were present.
