Westfield Write Ups Special Correspondence Guild Lunch Sale

St Catherine's Parish Guild is selling lunch all day election day Tuesday November 6 at Neal's Store building. Mr and Mrs Arvin Finzen of Akyon were Sunday dinner guests in the home of Dr and Mrs Charles Green. Mr and Mrs Virgil Ross and family and Mr and Mrs Lorna Ross and Joe entertained at a dinner in the Lorne Ross home Sunday for Wayne Bonn of Watertown SD and Fred Ross of Akron. Mr and Mrs Fred Hummel of Elk Point were Saturday visitors in the George Henke home at Akron. Power shortage followed no school in Westfield Tuesday due to a severe wind storm that blew down lines and fences and caused other damage amid rain, with some calling it a small tornado. The First National Bank advertisement Mystery Farm puzzle drew few correct answers. seven correct identifications earned free tickets to the Norka Theatre, three from town and four from the country. The correct identification was Lawrence Ericson northwest of Akron in Union County. A mounted photograph was provided.

Mystery Farm puzzle hints at local farmers identities

Through the courtesy of the First National Bank the paper awaits Mr. Ericson’s call at the Register- Tribune office.
