An incident occurred in a home Saturday evening leaving a local resident hospitalized at St Joseph Hospital Bronx City after surgery on Monday. Mrs Walter Holder from Sioux City visited the Wester home Wednesday. Bible school runs all week at Congregational church 9 30 to 3 00 with tote attendance 40 on Monday. Mareine C Smith Westfield among 200 degree candidates honored at Wayne State Teachers College commencement May 23. The Milner family of Westfield announces the engagement of Janet Florence to Jerry Higgens with wedding date pending. Plymouth County 4 H Girls plan Rally Day June 4 at fairgrounds LeMars with officers meeting May 15 to plan morning events and a noon picnic. Eva Lund expects record attendance as four new clubs join in past six months.
Albert Walker pastor leads Westfield Congregational Church with Sunday services at 9 30 a m and 7 30 p m combining church school worship and Pilgrim Fellowship. Thursday 8 p m features choir practice as Children’s Day program culminates VBS activities.
May 27, Sunday school at 10:00 and Worship at 11:00. Church council meeting after services. Vacation Bible School in session at the church basement 8:30 to 11:30, through Friday May 25. Ladies Aid serves lunch Memorial Day afternoon for cemetery decoration attendees.
