At Wentfield graduation exercises on Friday evening May 16 Miss Anna Knapp of Sioux township was presented the Good Citizenship award by the Iowa State Bar.
Mr Hoorneman Plymouth county Attorney represented the Bar Association. Mrs William French of Sioux township has returned home from Sioux City hospital where she was for about two weeks and is rapidly recovering. Mr and Mrs Williams and Janet attended graduation exercises in Hinton Friday evening May 16 where Mr Williams' brother was among the graduates. A number from Sioux Liberty and Hancock townships attended the Commencement in Westfield Thursday evening May 15. Grant Beaubien of Liberty township was severely injured when a tractor in gear pushed him against an endgate feeder. he was shoved about 150 feet and suffered a badly fractured leg and other injuries.
The Flymouth County 4 H & Ag rcultural Society of LeMars invites bids for a 60 by 70 foot wood building on the fair grounds. Plans and specs available at the Farm Bureau office in LeMars. Separate bids asked for building electric wiring and plumbing. Completion by August 1, 1952. Bids due 5:00 p m June 3, 1952 at the Farm Bureau office. Society may reject any or all bids.
Pleasant Hill Evangelical United Brethren Church lists Sunday school at 7 30 p m led by Mrs Paul Papritz superintendent worship service at 8 30 p m sermon by the pastor and a Quarterly Conference on Thursday May 22 at 8 00 p m with Dr William G Rembolt conference superintendent in charge
The pastor quotes Psalm 91 and invites everyone to attend. He affirms trust in the Lord as refuge and fortress and leads the congregation in worship.
