Akron airman earns Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon
Airman Second Class Dennis L. Stotz, son of Mr and Mrs Fred A Stotz of Akron Iowa, received the U S Air Force Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon at Sewart AFB Tennessee for outstanding accuracy during annual qualification firing. He serves as a personnel specialist in a unit supporting the Tactical Air Command mission for U S Army forces and is a graduate of Akron Community High School.

Red Raiders captured Class C honors and three relay trophies at the West Sioux Relays on May 5 1965. Wayne Blake Scott Swift Clark VanDonge Terry Jacobs set a school 440 yard relay record 46.1 while Blake VanDonge Jacobs Michael helped 880 yard relay clock 1 36 83. Bill Michael won 220 yard dash 23.8 and 2 mile relay team Weinblom Finzen Goudge Brown posted 8 47 4.
