Hearing Set On Lemars School Reorganization

Plymouth County Superintendent Christine McCormick schedules a 1 30 p m hearing on March 12 1959 in LeMars Court Room for objections to forming the LeMars Community School District. Objections must be filed by noon on the final filing day with the Plymouth County Superintendent of Schools. The petition area covers twenty five districts or parts thereof.

Lutheran God Home Country Award Presented to Iona Hoagland

Almost 200 attended the Trinity American Lutheran church service on March 1 as Iona Arlene Hoagland, a 16 year old Bor der Belles 4 H Club member, received the God Home Country Award. The presentation honored her five plus years of club work including 22 projects finished, 50 garments made or repaired, leadership roles, and multiple ribbons and awards. The ceremony featured leaders Mrs Willer and Mrs Andresen, and special guests from LeMars, with the design symbolizing 4 H and the Luther emblem. The report also covers 1959 crop support prices, noting minimum national averages for corn and other crops established under the new farm program.

1959 Corn Minimum Support Rate Announced

Area Plan for Brucellosis Eradication in Iowa

The Area Plan aims to eradicate brucellosis through vaccination, testing, and disposal of reactors.
