Akron Iowa town council met June 16 1913 with Mayor A L Yeaton presiding. Read and approved minutes. Ordered sidewalk on First Street west side of lot 1 block 82. Payment list includes Miller Hansen 87.78 J A Miller 0.50 John Neary 34 A Strobel 21.25 L Twihetcher 4 A G A Palm 2.10 Klauer Swanson Co 7 Interstate Electric Co 145.84. Adjournment set for June 18 to review Finley drainage report. Council later held June 1 meeting. Wooton resigns Swanson fills vacancy. Reed Street widening and condemnation considered. Finley drainage report recommends larger bridge, bigger south ditch, Reed Street lowering and paving from Third to track. Total paving estimate about 9 459 dollars. Resolution to approve report and seek bids passed unanimously. Crossing at Sargent Street granted.

A June town council meeting failed to have full attendance noted, and a vote on adopting the engineer's drainage report for the Town of Akron was ordered expunged from the records. The recorded yeas were Youg-Hoss Ostrom Youngstrom Hammer Swanson, and the motion was declared passed before adjournment.
