Mrs Herman Burow of Madelia and Mrs Chias Gosting of Wynot Nebraska visited here last week with their father L F Root and stayed in the homes of their sister Mrs L J Crogs and brother Ross Root.
Mrs W Leage attended the wedding of a daughter of their cousins Mr and Mrs Martin Larson in Sioux City on Monday. Neva Station sold her cafe to Jessie Tague of Arnolds Park Town and Bud's Cafe will be operated by Raymond Smith and wife.
Out-of-town guests traveled to the Anderson home for a simple wedding in blue, pink, and white decor. The reception included a social visit, a delicious repast, and a surprise birthday party for Dorothy Allen, with numerous relatives and friends from Elk Point, Akron, Merrill, and Sioux City in attendance.
Neighbors and relatives gathered for the funeral of a Pioneer Akron businessman. Relatives from LeMars Merrill Sioux City Elk Point Ver million Sioux Falla Laurens attended, including nephews G. P. Simeon Wm Muir Jr Freeman Brouillet Earl Bauerly Cyril Simeon and Francis Bauerly. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery here.
