Commencement Exercises and Alumni Banquet Highlights
The sixteenth annual commencement of Alo'on high school was held June 3 in the opera house with pink and cream decor and a white American Beauty rose. Miss Jegale Meredith was unable to attend. Miss Blasche Johnson spoke on Abraham Lincoln. Dr. Herbert G. Campbell delivered remarks. A vocal quartet and piano selections followed. The Akron Alumni Association banquet June 4 at A. Jenkins home featured art contests, a formal banquet, and an officers’ election. Out-of-town attendees included Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bennett and Miss Minnie Wallin.
