Akron Ball Team Beats Broadway Clowns in Nine
Akron won 8 to 5 over the Broadway Clowns at the local park as Swede Heisler pitched all nine. Clowns offense included a bunt hit steal and single in the opening frame, while Akers faced heavy hits before Harmon and Peck drove in runs. Akron adds runs in the sixth and seventh on sticks by Wetzeler Harmon and Heisler, with a late Clowns rally falling short.
