Monroe Mirror editor John Vandermast dies of pneumonia

The Monroe Mirror owner and editor John Vandermast, born in the Netherlands October 13, 1848, died at his home from pneumonia. He had led the paper since purchasing it in 1880 and was active in social, religious, fraternal and political circles of Monroe.
