At the Akron nursing home on Monday residents watched a Michelangelo life film presentation with sculpture and paintings, followed by an Adaville ladies program on Tuesday in the lobby led by Mrs. Netley. The first Akron CRD Teen Club meeting July 15 discussed a record hop by a local radio DJ and using earnings plus city funds to renovate tennis courts and update nets and basketball hoops. Mrs Otto Wilma Stibral of rural Akron completed a 14 day anti rabies shot series after being scratched by a pet cat at her home. The cat was sent from the Stibral location to Ames via Iowa highway patrol after the rabies report. Vaccination guidance notes cats require yearly shots and dogs every three years for safety.
