Graduate nurses urged to join Hines VA Hospital staff
The Hines Veterans Administration hospital near Chicago appeals to graduate nurses not active in the field to resume work to ease a critical shortage and aid disabled veterans. A VA standards revision offers quicker routes into the associate and full nursing grades for those with accredited bachelor degrees and three years of practice. The VA promises liberal benefits, including a 40 hour week, 30 days vacation, 15 days sick leave, eight holidays, and modern quarters at nominal cost.
