G I Bill of Rights amendments expand veteran benefits

The note outlines major changes to the G I Bill of Rights enacted during the holidays. Increases to guaranteed home farm or business loans from 2000 to 4000 dollars. Benefits no longer deducted from future bonuses. Subsistence for single students rises to 65 dollars and married to 90. Course time extensions to four years after the war and nine years to complete. No age limits. Short courses up to 500 dollars allowed. Government funded correspondence courses permitted. Loan approvals by lenders and stock purchases for small businesses allowed. Public Law 16 boosts disability pensions to 105 for singles and 115 for married with extra allowances per child and dependent parent.
