Loan program ends Jan 31 1959 for small grains
Commodity Credit loan program for all 1958 small grains closes January 31 1959. Producers wanting to place oats barley grain sorghum flax rye wheat or soybeans under loan or purchase agreement should apply at the ASC office immediately. Loans take several days to finalize and may require by January 15 to ensure completion before February 2 1959. Purchase agreements can be completed immediately when acts are filed at the office.

Study Announces Loan Document Deadlines and Cancellations
The notice warns that certificates of interest and notes must be presented to the bank for disbursement. For listed commodities, if not done by February 15, 1959, they become void and the loan is cancelled. Some producers have not signed notes and mortgages and must do so by February 2, 1959, or the application is cancelled with no reinstatement.
