Special correspondence from East Westfield notes Lloyd and Clarence Bockelman motoring to Howard to attend cousin George Goraths wedding and returning Monday. Frank Balster and wife of Jamestown North Dakota visited his aunt Mrs Frank Beckelman during their wedding trip. Sioux City visitors included Albert Beckelman Evelyn Burnight and the Balsters. Walter Eberhard of Hinton suburbs sold hogs for a top price of 4.10 per load in Sioux City last Thursday. Local residents Walden Fry and Ursula Fry visited Sioux City Saturday. Frank Helm and C P Knapp also conducted business there. C C Pike and son Claudis traveled to Sioux City Friday. Cecelia Beaulieu, Milnerville teacher, weekended with sister Mrs Albert Schindel in Sioux City. Light snow fell Saturday night bringing needed moisture to the area. Henry Schultz of Merrill reported a fine hogs market lot in Sioux City Saturday.
Mr and Mrs Eilert Miller and Mr and Mrs George Miller were shoppers in Sioux City Thursday. Sunday visitors in the Mrs Lizzie Parker home included Mr and Mrs Leonard Miller and daughter Darlene, Mr and Mrs Clare Morehead and son Norman, Mrs Alva Port and Mr and Mrs Fay Port and son Kenneth. Miss Lucille Lucken hosted the Johnson Jewel 4 H club Saturday. Leonard Miller and daughter Darlene attended a farewell party for Mr and Mrs Earl Lemke Thursday evening. Mrs Henry Buehre returned home Saturday after a week with the Dick Bohlken family in Akron. Mr and Mrs Jesse Kallsen and family spent Friday at the Barth Miller home. Shoppers included Mr and Mrs John Milbredt, Mrs Harry Johnson, Mrs Frank Johnson and Mrs Barth Miller Tuesday. Friends and neighbors gathered Saturday evening at the Henry Pinegar home for a social.
Saturday visits to the Cassen farm include Howard Milner and his Boy Scout troop while Mrs Cassen and Jack along with Mr and Mrs W W Logan hosted. Audrey Fry remains on the sick list with a bronchial cold and Violet Fry teeth issues improve.
Special correspondence from Adaville reports Mr and Mrs Elmer Brow Mr and Mrs Richard Milner Mr and Mrs Everett Orr and Mr and Mrs Clark Tindall attending revival services at Union Presbyterian church east of Merrill last Thursday. Rev and Mrs N A Hollingsheads learned their daughter Rose Moore of Des Moines was seriously hurt by a truck crossing the street with spine injury and brain concussion. There is little hope for recovery. they returned home Monday evening. Herb Johnson recovering well after operation at Akron hospital Tuesday night last week. Numerous local residents including W W Zellers and family Thos Dreeszen and sons Leone Zellers and Frank Thomas Nelson Brown and children Richard Tindall Clark Tindall and Agnes Johnson attended Sunday evening services at Union church. Leone Zellers of Sioux City and Frank Thomas of Newcastle Neb spent the week in W W Zellers home. Agnes Johnson returned to Moville Ia Sunday evening after visiting her father at Akron hospital. Mgr William Bohlen and daughter Virginia Ann visited Bertsel Brown Sunday. No U B church services were held Sunday evening. Rev Walter J Cahill and Emil Nelson of Oakland Nebr conducted.
A series of revival meetings held last fall continues with services at Union Township Presbyterian Church and U B Church Adaville. The event begins Monday February 19 at 7 30 PM and runs with a welcoming note to all attendees.

On January 20, 1934 the District Court of Plymouth County appointed Nels BhauBinn as executor. Claims must be presented to the court for allowance. debtors should make payment to the executor and notices published February 1, 8, 16, 1934.
