In Le Mars Mr and Mrs Alan Kellen announce a son Jessie James born Feb. 5 1977 at Floyd Valley hospital. He has a sister Denise 18 months old. Mrs Kellen is formerly Carla Beech of Akron. Grandparents Mrs Norma Beech of Akron and Harriett Kellen of Le Mars. Great grandmother Mrs Elsie Stotz of Akron.

Senior Citizens Club Meeting in Akron

Senior Citizens with 56 members gathered Monday February 7 at the Akron Legion hall for a brief business session followed by a music program by Marie Degen. The afternoon featured cards and bingo with a light lunch served at close. Mrs. James Boyett and Mrs. Patrick Hanley said the Sioux Trails Girl Scout council has taken no position on the equal rights amendment, noting service across ten northwest Iowa counties and portions of South Dakota and Nebraska.

Renee M. Kovarna and Kevin L. Boetger were married January 28, 1977 at Ellendale Catholic Church Merrill Iowa.
